Security

Security and Swedish data hosting

Kontra is designed to store bookkeeping data securely in Sweden. That gives Swedish companies clearer control over where accounting records are kept and how they can be produced during an audit or review.

Hosting in Sweden

Bookkeeping data is stored in a Swedish hosting environment with focus on availability, traceability, and clear responsibility. The goal is that business owners know where their records are and can access them when needed.

Swedish archiving rules

As a starting point, Swedish bookkeeping law requires accounting records to be kept in Sweden. Electronic accounting records may be kept in another EU or EEA country under specific conditions, including notice of the storage location and immediate access for inspection and printing in Sweden. Other arrangements may require permission from the Swedish Tax Agency or, for certain financial companies, the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

Encryption

Data is protected in transit and at rest using modern security methods.

Access

Roles, permissions, and traceability help companies stay in control.

Backup

Regular backups and recovery routines reduce the risk of data loss.
